Why AMD-Based Systems Are Better By Design Watch How AMD Stacks Up Against Intel
AMD solutions are based on flexible and open platforms that enable the industry leaders in each PC technology category to collaborate to achieve:
A feature-rich, no-compromise experience
A visible difference for consumers in performance versus the competition
Lower costs to the consumer to operate thanks to energy-conscious processor design
Better wireless connectivity
Outstanding Windows Vista™ performance tomorrow on mainstream PCs available today
See the proof in the side-by-side comparisons below.
Far Cry®: AMD vs. Intel with NVIDIA graphics
Faster frame rates. The video camera caught the footage as the three systems ran the gaming demo. All three systems started the demo at the same time. You can see the NVIDIA system has raced ahead of both Intel machines. During the video-taping, the NVIDIA system ran the looping demo 3+ times before the Intel machines could run the demo even once. You will also notice the color saturation and lighting are far superior on the NVIDIA machine. We got similar results on the ATI machine, but because of the large size of these files we only provided one demo in this presentation.
Color Bars: AMD vs. Intel with ATI graphics
Horizontal resolution is a good test of video resolution quality. A close-up of the horizontal bars shows that the Intel machines have difficulty displaying the horizontal resolution. They are in fact often blurry or flicker out trying to display the horizontal color bars. The ATI machine shows minimal blurriness, you can usually clearly see the horizontal bars, demonstrating ATI's superior horizontal resolution.
